Default Electrical gremlins driving me crazy

Hi everybody.
I guess I am finally at a point where my car is starting to give me some attitude. I am dealing with some electrical gremlins, which I am sure are no mystery for the combined knowledge of this forum.

First, I installed orange/clear LED driving lights in the front. I got the hyper-flash harness and fixed the rapid blinking. For a whole summer season. However, what has happened now is that when I use the turn signals, they would blink and then stay lit without blinking. Sometimes they would work just fine over an hour and during repeated use. Other times they would get "stuck" after the first blink. Sometimes they would blink three/four times and then get "stuck". Once they are stuck, there is no changing that. Unless I turn off the car and start it again. It drives me crazy.

Second, I installed LED bulbs in my reverse lights. Now, at night, when my headlights are on, my reverse lights are on in a really weird way even if the car is in a forward gear. The left side is just barely lit. Like just a little dim afterglow. The right side, however is full on all the time no matter what if the headlights are on.

Third, I got a message on my DTC screen saying "active handling warming up". This made me chuckle and panic in the same time. What the hell does it mean? I immediately checked my codes and it showed me no codes. When the message appeared, I cleared it, but the amber icon with rear of the car and skid marks stayed lit. After driving like that for about five miles and turning the car off, it disappeared when the car was turned back on.

Please help me with solving any/all of these issues.
Thanks in advance.

I think I sold you the hyperflash harness.I used the same one in mine and the flasher acted up,doing about the same thing as yours.I changed out the relay and it has been fine since that.May or may not be your problem also.

Thank you both.
Jamieo, I don't remember if I got the harness from you, but it is very possible. It works like a charm. No complaints there. From the search I made, I gathered I pretty much need to change the relay. It is pain because the dash needs to come out, but I also found some very old posts on here, explaining that it could be done through the radio opening. So I guess I will be doing that.

Now, could anyone chime in about the issue with my reverse lights? Anyone had similar problem? Or should I just go back to regular bulbs?

If it were me I'd go back to regular bulbs and see if it fixed my issues. If yes theres your answer.

If you are still using the hyperflash harness you should only have to remove the panel under the steering wheel to change the relay.

I don't understand how this could be. If the relay is built in the hazard switch, how would I be able to replace it from where the hyper-flash harness is?

I can't help you since I'm sitting on the fence with this whole LED conversion thing. It just seems that a lot of cars start doing weird things when LEDs are installed. Yours is just one of many similar posts regarding LED issues.

As for your "TC warming up" issue, I wouldn't worry about it. I agree with 8vette7 on this one.

The relay in the hyperflash harness is the one that controls the turn signals now.It is bypassing the hazard switch. The hazard relay is used only when you are using the hazard lights.

Аhhhhhh. I see now. So do I have to replace the whole hyperflash harness, or just part of it?

I went full LED all around and without fail every bad ground started showing up in a few days. Bill Curlee posted a ground block diagram somewhere here in the tech section, I followed his post like the bible, cleaning and protecting every ground-point in the car, Even still there were some blocks that still acted up, like dim fogs, odd light behaviour. My biggest issue was the block located under the coolant reserve which after repeated attempts to solve finally bead-blasting the male side and acl-50 and microbrushes (for cleaning teeth) got everything to work properly. I did notice the hyperflash harness only affects the turns and not the hazards which still hyperflash, will figure that out next,
