Default Wheel Alignment question

Hope this hasn't been asked before. When starting wheel alignment procedure on a C5 how does the tech determine steering center? Is there a way to read the SWPS to assure the center position or does the tech just sit in the seat, center the steering wheel by eye and adjust from there?

Do C5's without active handling have a SWPS?

From my Chevrolet dealership service department today. All C5's have a SWPS.

Alignment is initiated by tech visually centering steering wheel from driver's seat. After completion of alignment SWPS is read with a Tech 2.

Hey Roy:

Good to hear from you. As far as wanting it back now, not really. I made my decision to move on and am happy with it. Life in Florida with the C5 convertible fits nicely. And within my budget.

I am curious as to the whereabouts of the old girl though. Perhaps Dubai or the UAE? Chris did such a number on that car that it is deserving of a royal owner.

Hope things in VA are good.
