Default Intake Manifold Question

I have a 2000 Vert.
I am thinking about upgrading to the 2001+ LS6 Style Intake Manifold.

My question is: Is the Dorman Products Replacement Manifold
listed for 2002 Vette the same?? Or is "my" old
Style Intake Manifold???
Is is Part #615900

That thing looks like crap.

Just head over to the for sale section. If there's not one listed, post up a wanted ad. Guys swap out the stock manifolds all the time.

The Dorman reproduction is becoming a popular item, particularly among those with 4th Gen F-bodies that have an LS1 that want a cost effective upgrade. It composition is basically a FAST 78mm lower with an LS6-style upper.

It has been tested quite a bit and the general consensus is that it performs better than the LS1 manifold but is slightly down on power gains from an actual LS6 manifold swap. There have been some questions on product quality, particularly in where one sources it from, as some buyers have had issues with pieces of intake runner gasket material broken or wedged in odd places.

It is hard to pass it up though. With the prices that some used LS6 manifolds go for one could get the Dorman piece new at near the same price.

IIRC all 2001+ is the same so a ls1 camaro (01 and newer) has the same intake but the camaro has the EGR hole

might google it just to make sure?
