I am looking to replace my tires on my 02 z06. I was thinking Nitto NT05. My question is will 295/35/18 on the rear and the 275/40/17 on the front be ok? From what I read as long as the diameter is over .5 inches difference it should be fine. And i think its like .51 inches difference on these. Thanks

I'm running those sizes (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3) on my supercharged '02 coupe and I haven't had any issues. I have them on Z06 Speedline wheels and they fit fine on the car.
If you look thru the Tire Rack website for the tire sizes you want, you may find there will be slight differences in diameter based on the make and model of tire. Probably not a big deal but it may pay to check the specs before buying.
I ran Nitto NT05's in 275/40-17 on my '87 autocross and track car and they did a good job once they got some heat in them. If you intend to do "spirited driving" in the rain, I would consider a different tire.
