I am going to pull my intake to clean everything up.. Just
for preventive maint..
Question is : should I replace the knock sensors while
I've got intake off??
I am going to replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit, even though
I've never had an issue with it.
I have approx 110K miles. 1 owner. Mostly highway cruiser
2000 Convertible. Catback, CAI, hypertech.
Just to add: I don't currently have any issues, codes, etc
just wanting to get my maint done.
I haven't seen anything on the forum about there being any significant
issues with the knock sensors

personally I wouldn't replace them if you aren't having any issues, same goes for the oil pressure sending unit... sometimes you will create your own issues in the process... also inspect the knock sensor harness, the wires tend to get brittle over time and can break
Whole heartedly! You don't have anything wrong. Age old saying my friend. If it aint broke, don't fix it. If you truly cant help yourself, add some sealant to those knock sensors incase you ever decide to spray the motor down.
OK . Will leave them alone..
I know on some of the truck 5.3 etc..
There are problems with water getting in there.
So I'll just seal em up and leave em alone.
Thanks !!
