Default HUD help

I know there are a million HUD posts sadly I can't find the 1 I need. I am looking to find where I can cut the hole for the hud in the dash. I have a 98 non hud. I have all the right parts I just don't know where exactly I need to cut the dash to place the hud in. Anyone know?

Thanks for everyone's help. Got a new cluster from 2002 Z06. Then I find out there's a way to make my old cluster able to have a HUD with a minor mod. Lol my luck. Anyone here do the upgrade? If so how did u cut the dash template out?

With an X-Acto Knife.

Follow the lines that SPEED750 mentioned on the underside of your dash board and cut very carefully.

Good luck... GUSTO

Remember: Measure 14 times, CUT ONCE. Don't choke.

No pressure.
