I had the C-1 (hammar cam) installed with no tuning. It ran real good for about 9 mos. Now I have ported heads and it runs better. :D You'll have no problems with the B1.
My MTI T1 cam will be for sale in a few weeks, when MTI drop in the new 408 motor. Let me know if you are interested.
Oh, I also have the 918 springs and titanium retainers to go with it too. They will not work in my new motor. The T1 cam has about 10K miles, but the springs and retainers have less than 200 miles on them. They are from the new heads that I just purchased, NOT from when the cam was installed.
You will need to drill a little hole in your TB blade to help it idle after a hot engine restart. Good luck, car definatly pulled much harder after the install.
Re: MTI B-1 cam without computer tuning? (ericg320)
After installing the cam, I jumped from 317 to 353rwhp. Then I installed the LS6 intake and the ST-3500 with the 3.73 gear and dropped to 341rwhp picked up 15 lbs of torque. You figure, but my 1/4 et went from 12.67 to 12.34 without tuning.
