I have OEM wheels with Nitto 555 245/45ZR17 and 275/40ZR18. Don't seem narrow to me. Great tires by the way!

I had same ones on my Vette when i bought it back in 2010. I had about 40k moles on them and they were just above the wear bars. Good tires but didnt have the sizes for my new wheels so had to get something else.

I'm thinking about this type of look, however I don't know what size will accommodate a 9.5 rim. I kind of like the "beefy" look

You might consider stepping up one size

255/45/17 front and 285/40/18 rear. These sizes will fit both the stock base C5 wheels or the stock C5 Z06 wheels.
They keep the 1" stagger to keep the computers happy, and the speedometer will still be pretty close. (When speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed will be 60.7 mph)

I ran those sizes on my '99.

Nitto NT555's are available in those sizes too.
