The window motor on my 02 Z doesn't work so I want to replace it soon and was just wondering if its possible to replace the motor instead of the whole motor/regulator assembly? My car only has 9k miles so I see no reason to replace the regulator too unless it's easier to do the whole assembly at once. Thanks!

Comes as one piece assembled, I just bought new AC Delco off Amazon for about $160, not too hard to replace, measure and mark old adjusters and glass to get it new one replaced closely.
Its the good and bad universal part same as a Saturn...cheap in price but cheap in quality!

I replaced one in the passenger door of my CE Z16 when I still hard that car...about 2 years ago. If memory serves me GM changed the design of the plug on the motor which requires their updated wire harness/pigtail. It's easy to change out but the downside I wasn't crazy about was you have to cut the old end off the harness in the door. It wasn't too bad but actually committing to cutting the pigtail off the factory harness was my only challenge. I also picked up some heat shrink tubing and silver soldered the wires back together, however, butt connectors will work as well if you decide to go that route. I chose the soldered connections as I figured that moisture might get in a butt connector and could possibly cause issues down the road. Hope this help!
It is a common problem for the windows to stick, and the motor is still fine. Have you tried tapping on the motor while holding down the button?
I think it is a poor design and the drive gears just get in a bind since there is no limit switch and the motor just drives the glass up against the stops until the motor stalls. I found that if I bump the window down a fraction of an inch it unloads the drive gears and the window quit sticking.

Yes, I tried that when I had the door panel off and the only thing that happened was the motor housing got very hot.
