my c5 wont start sometimes
my 2000 C5 convertible has intermittent starts. i bypassed the vats with resitors, thought that was it. but no! Put in a new ignition Switch, thought that was it. No!. thinking about a neutral safety switch or a new starter. please help!!!!!!!!

I just replaced my starter recently, but I could hear the solenoid click but the starter would not crank. Do you here anything at all when it does not start you should hear the TDR in the passenger side foot well click. You can try rapping the starter with a wooden broom handle as somebody tries to start it. If you have a voltmeter you can clip on to the violet wire and to ground to check for voltage, this test will determine if your no start is being caused upstream of the starter or the presence of voltage will point to your starter/solenoid.
