1.8 rocker arms
does anyone know if i can use 1.8 rockers with a 224 230 581 588 cam without any modifications,also what kind of gains could i expect?99 ls1.i have comp 918 springs and i am going to replace them with the same,i was thinking about new rockers when i do it so im just wondering if it would be worth going to a 1.8 rocker.

That will make a lift at valve .620 ish. Stock heads don't flow any better at .620 than .580. If aftermarket or ported heads then go by what flow numbers that came with the heads, and match valve lift accordingly.

Looks like XE-R lobes which many on LS1tech say closes the valve rapidly. I would think a 1.8 ratio rocker would make the valvetrain less stable.
