Default Exploded view of factory intake setup? Pics?

Hi all,

I'm trying to restore the factory intake on my 2002 C5 from an aftermarket setup on the car and having a beast of a time figuring it out. Already have the shroud, airbox, and the bellow, but can't make sense of what and where things should be, and I can gather I'm missing:

-- grommets that fit inside the wings of the bellow, which ride on posts that are on top of the radiator cover
-- accordion pipe from the bellow to the TB
-- possibly an intake air temp sensor, although the bellow I got has no opening for one?
-- proper hose for the PCV system...mine is 3 different colors which suggests its been changed?
-- have no clue where the studs of the airbox are held on or how. I see openings in the front of the engine bay but have no retaining nuts for them?

Does anyone have a full exploded view of the setup with all the misc. small parts? Or could someone provide photos if you've changed yours? Need to get this sorted before I can start autocross and it really has me thrown for a loop. Tried going on gmpartsdirect but they only show the larger components.

Thanks for your help.

Spend some time exploring on gmpartseast.com Their exploded views are quite good.

When you do locate the exploded view, some things you'll maybe see are...

You actually do not have to run these. I removed mine so the air bridge (the term for the long hard tube) sits a bit more flush to the upper radiator shroud cover. I have a hard coupler from the air bridge to the MAF which holds it a bit better than the little slip coupler OEM GM.

This is unique for the C5. If you cannot locate the OEM setup then you could possibly use a very large coupler but I would imagine it would need to be a 4" to 4 1/2" ID'ed coupler or similar. The accordion has a crimp ring on the air bridge side and a fitted clamp on the TB side.

There are two different setups. Earlier pre-2001 cars have the air temp sensor mounted on the driver's side of the air bridge. Post 2000-cars have a different style air bridge. If you inadvertently purchased an earlier style air bridge for your car from a used parts seller you bought the wrong style for your car.

It's really just a large black hose that's crimped on the filter side with a plastic U teeth clip. There's probably a GM part number for it but it could be made with standard hose. OEM application it has a bit of a U shape bend to clear the air box opening.

The bottom portion of the air box is supposed to have two T30 head torx bolts; I apologize I do not know the thread pitch of the bolts. The torx bolts have a sleeved insert that "hold" them to the box so you can position it against the front cross member to install. It's a bit of a bear to get in though with the hood and such in the way as you have to REALLY reach in there, or you have small hands slip in under the hood with it raised.

To all of you, thanks a million for the help. Oelarse, that link is gold and saved my ***, LoneStarFRC, that link was indeed better than GMpartsdirect but didn't have the air cleaner section in any of the subheadings. Oddly they did have A.I.R. System diagrams which were literally bookending the pages for the air cleaner setup. Typical. Thanks for the tip on that though all the same

Velocity_Vette, all awesome info as well. I'll check the studs I mentioned and see if they're actually tipped with torx heads and I just missed it. Was expecting a nut to be there rather than a built in body mount. If it's as tough as you say and as it looks, seems like it's time to lean how to pull the bumper cover. Might get a factory horn for the car to put in while I'm in there prior owner put on some abomination that sounds awful (.although I've considered getting one from an 80s era Caddy just for ***** n giggles).
