Wheels and tires
What's everbody using for wheels and tires on a high horsepower car.I've been waiting for my procharger on and my 383 stroker motor. I'll list the mods later(huge list).I'm worrried about making all this horsepower hookup.I have nitto 555zr's right now. Does anybody make wheels wide enough and the right diameter for the car without using a minitub from lingerfelter? :cheers: :flag

11s in the rear are about the widest you can go (with the correct offset) w/o sticking out past the fender. 12s are nice, but you will need to tub to do it right.

If you dragrace you might want to check out the test I posted here showing the improvement from Nittos to MT/ET Streets on Vinci Hi-Performance wheels. 5" Skinnys on the front and 26 X 11.50 X 16 on the rear requires no tubbing and keeps the stock profile of your C5. The set up is totally streetable. For the road I run Grand Sport Aluminum Wheels with Z06 front tires and ZR1 rear tires (315 X 17) whitch are about 12" wide, look great and hook up fairly well on the street.
