Hey guy I seached these codes, but I think my situation may be different. My car ran beautifully till I had a trans bolt back out on Easter that wedged itself against the torque converter. My battery was disconnected for over 2 weeks during the tear down. I don't recommend the average joe doing what I did. What a job?! Ugh..... When I connected the battery back up I went through the wait 10 seconds for the computer to reboot. Battery was weak had to charge it too after the reboot battery wasn't strong enough to turn the engine. Is there usually issues when hooking a battery back up after an extended period of time or do I just have poop luck and my MAF just happend to go bad? I reset the the codes, but it will probably come back. Going out now to change air filter and clean MAF, but not feeling too hopeful. Thanks for reading.
A low battery voltage will cause all kinds of codes and issues with the C5. Make sure it is fully charged or replaced if bad and see how things go.
Mr. Sam
Thanks, battery was replaced "new" in November, but I know regular car batteries do take a beating when ran down, although this was the first time it was ran down, it might just be enough to cause an issue, so u may be on to something? Will get out the old voltage meter.
Gotta break out the manual too, gotta reset remotes. They are not responding. I've wrenched enough on this dam car in the last week! I just wanna drive it already!

when you had the battery disconnected did you remove the negative cable only?... if my car is going to be down for an extended period of time I disconnect both cables that way there is no draw at all on the battery and I will check the charge on it before reconnecting

Just neg, I'm going to bing it in, if it needs replacing I'll get it replaced, it's under warranty. Going to pick up a MAF while I'm there about $80.00 that's after my 20% off coupon Whoo-Hoo! Beats driving back and forth. Car had COMPLETE tune up 8,000 miles ago. I just wanna wash it and go cruising, it's beautiful out today!
To reset the key remote control ---simply press "lock and unlock" at the same time and you should hear the horn beep--teling you it's programmed---Can't remember if the key has to be on or not--try it both ways
YES a dead or low voltage battery will create issues within your ECM---
Also an time the battery goes dead or is disconnected the ECM loses all the part throttle fuel adjustments called "fuel trims" They have to be re-learned by driving the car normally for approx 50-75 miles---The more modded your car is the longer it takes---
In order to set a MAF code means that the fuel trims have gone beyond 25% car will also often go into reduced power mode----I doubt that the MAF is bad ---
I got back from the auto parts store today with the new MAF. I went to remove the old one and I realized one of the pieces came apart after the sensors. I put it together properly and viola! It was fixed, I also sprayed/cleaned the MAF and changed the air filter. now I can take the new part back. Thanks for the help/advice. I will post a pick with my finger pointing to where it came apart. From the angles I was looking from, it looked fine until I went to remove it. I must have leaned or pressed against it when I was replacing the belts. Oh well lesson learned.......
