Muffler bypass

Has anybody performed the bypass that welds a pipe from the inlet to the outlet of the muffler's? Does this do anything? Is it too loud? Any opinions are appreciated.

I did this to my B&B rt66 since it was to quite for my liking

while it was on the car i drilled a hole on the inlet side where the bypass would go then drove the car to hear it, for me when i got to 1/2" sizes hole i was pleased with it so i removed the mufflers and drilled matching holes on the outlet side then fitted and welded a peace of stainless pipe to complete the bypass

by leaving it on the car and drilling the hole you can start small and make it bigger till your pleased with the sound

I done it on my stock exhaust, not that much louder to me if any change.

Not much louder, but it will let out all the crackles & pops on decel that the stock mufflers suppress. I liked it, but not everybody does.
