Hey everyone new to the forum hoping that someone could help me. I took my C5 out the other day for a spin after sitting for a couple of months and noticed that my idle was rough. It felt like my engine was choking and wanted to die. When I got back home I noticed my exhaust had a very rich smell to it. My code shows PO308 (miss fire)? Thank you.
Fuel could have gone bad in it, doesn't take long with the ethanol in the gas now to go bad. I would put some fresh gas in it and see if that helps it.
Thank you for responding Hotrod. I thought the same thing and filled up the tank, but nothing has changed after driving for 10 miles. If anything it has gotten worse...

p0308 indicates a misfire on cylinder #8... I would start by checking the plug and wire on the passenger rear cylinder... also make sure the injector and coil connections on that cylinder are good
Another thing to check is make sure you connection from the air filter to intake are sealed. I've had the clamp near the MAF sensor slip off and that will create a rough idle.
