Default TPMS updates and custom wheels...

I am trying to get some opinions on how to proceed going forward. I will have to install new tires this summer. I am getting some uneven tire wear that I will need to address as well. That is mainly due to the suspension settling over time since I did the front end alignment after lowering about 30k miles ago.

Anyhow, I have 19/20 iForged wheels that I have mounted tire pressure sensors using band clamps and epoxy over ten years ago. At the time, I bought 4 used tire pressure sensors which are all still working except one that has issues intermittently. I am actually impressed with how long they have lasted.

My questions are as follows...

1) How are folks these days mounting tire pressure sensors that can't be mounted in the traditional way through the valve stem hole in the wheel itself? Do I still use the same method that I did many years ago?

2) I am considering moving to the newer sensors this time around. Last time I checked, sensors for my 99 were more expensive. I believe I will have to change some electronics on my car to do so. Any thoughts or suggestions here?

thanks!

There is a vendor selling band clamps for wheels to mount tpms to the barrel just like you did. So just do it that way again.
