Default Cat Back Exhaust
Why are C-5 exhaust called Cat Back exhaust? Whats the difference from a regular system? Just curious.

Its not that a C5 exhaust is called a CAT back, any system that is a bolt on replacement from behind the catalytic convertor and rearward on any car is called a CAT back.

These generally are smog legal in all 5 states because you arent changing anything in the emission control system, just the sound and flow potential.

If you removed the CATs or even moved them your car technically isnt emissions legal anymore.

On a C5 a catback exhaust is really the over axle pipes linked to the mufflers. :yesnod:
