I recently purchased the Corsa Indy w/GTR tips from Shinobi'sZ (thanks bud). I installed them correctly (I know how to do this as it's my 6th exhaust install ;)) and this is what I'm stuck with:
The driver's side tip sticks out about 3/4" too far compared to the passenger side. My rationale is to cut 1/2-3/4" off of the over-axle-pipe on the driver's side so that I can push the driver's side muffler deeper to be flush, sagitally, with the passenger side muffler. Does this sound like a good way to go?
PS, I have a PERFECT B&B PRT w/Quad Ovals, polished up and ready to go for sale :D :D :D
The Indys sound great, no more rasp b/w shifts due to my catless exhaust :)
I had the same problem on a recent installation of Corsa Indy Daytonas, the passenger side tip was 1/2 inch shorter than the other side. You can loosen the clamp on the over the axle pipe(if you have two piece over the axel pipes) and either pull or push to even up tips then tighten clamps. You might need someone to help pull or push when you under tightning the clamp.
Lossen the Torca clip slightly.....and tap on the side that is extended with a rubber mallet directly on tip. WORKED FOR ME !!! Gotta luv GTR'S
I have Corsa Indy's with Pro Tips (not on at time of sig) and I also was out of line. Took a good hard look at the pipes and realized that Corsa had missed the mandrel bending on one pipe where it goes over the differential - in other words one bend was a few degrees off from the other. I took the car down to Mike's Muffler in Houston and had them remove the pipe and "unbend" it about 1/2" upward. That levelled my tips and moved them all into a straight line across the rear. Don't know if you have this also but it might be worth looking at. No cutting or welding required.
Levi, I had a similar problem...
Before you cut anything....Check the slip fit at the headers..Mine was cocked and did not go all the way on on the driver side. I pulled the intermediate pipe..hit the connections with some emery cloth and a little dab of vaseline. ;)

Save the wave :seeya
Exactly what I did with my Stingers. Heated one of the Over the axle pipes and bent it a bit by hand. Took a tool to measure the angle before and after.
