I'm have my black z06 on order right now and for the better part of two days I've been looking through this forum and on the internet trying to find which major exhaust system out there is the loudest. I want a very aggressive sounding system, I don't care about resonance, etc. I want something that is a top performer but is just flat out loud from idle all the way through WOT. I also do not want the popping that I hear from so many of the exhaust systems (x pipe to correct this???) I thought maybe the Borla XR1 race exhaust might be the way to go, and then I read that the stingers are more aggressive....
You will really love the sound and keep in line with the weight savings you currently have on your Z06 by going with a GHL exhaust system. You can go wrong with this awesome sounding system!
If your justy looking for loud..you can pull the cats and install a x-pipe and that shoul do it for you....BUT if your looking for some H.P. and Tq. you really need to lose the stock exhaust headers and get a set of long tube headers..You have a good choice( TPIS,Belangers,TTS,FLP..etc) That way you will achieve a nasty sound at WOT and cruising will still be aggressive but NO resonance. By pulling the cats and adding the headers you will promote great exhaust flow and the sound is just great bonus..just my .02:D
See my homepage for this setup and install pics of exhaust:D
I just installed a set of Performance Choice Power Curve Bold Sound pipes from Mid America. Talk about loud. It sounds like a big block! Very deep rumble all the way through the rev range. Construction is exactly like the muffler inserts that go in mid year side exhaust pipes.
I absolutely love it. Still need the X-pipe to get rid of the popping though. At leaset the gurgling is gone. Just rumble now.
I heard a set of Corsa Titanium's at Bowling Green last weekend. They really sounded good and are very light weight. They make both a street and race version. They are a little more than some of the other systems, but not as bad as I would have thought. Worth looking into. BTW, I have PRT's and love them, but there are louder systems.
To answer your question very simply.............SLP Loudmouth, but like mentioned above, the tips have a lot to be desired and the XR-1's are quite a bit louder than the Stingers. Keep in mind the XR-1's and the LM have a bunch of interior resonance, but from your post, you don't care.
Without a doubt the SLP. I had them on my 02 coupe with high flow cats and long tubes. I had 3 people constantly complain to the association in my complex. At full throttle you could hear the car almost 2 miles away (I know because a friend drove it and I heard it that far away. The popping is scary on deceleration and I used to purposely downshift at 4500 rpm coming to a light just to scare people. Starting it leaving the grocery store would always snap about 20 necks in the parking lot. I would definatley do it again just for the race car sound, weight savings is just a side benefit.

Please advise!
Thanks!
I just got back from Carlisle and I didn't hear a single exhaust louder than my SLP Loudmouth. Check it out, its really worth it. I love the sound and it does have resonance, which I am fixing (I hope) with SLP's new xpipe w/ resonator.
If you want really loud get rid of your cats.
Good luck and you can't go wrong with any of the exhausts you mentioned.
