So my front turn signals are experiencing a confusing problem. I couldn't find a post matching these issues. They both blink, at a normal rate. The left was replaced a few weeks ago with one bulb from a pack-of-two. The right bulb was replaced with left bulb, and the empty left socket was replaced with a fresh bulb from that pack-of-two (so they are the same bulbs). My right signal blinks fine and bright. No problem. The left signal blinks fast (indicator of a burnt out bulb), but it is not bright. So it can't be burnt out (especially since it's brand new). I'm confused because it's a new bulb... so why would it be acting like this? I don't want to take it into the shop just yet. Is there a way I can fix this by myself?

That was my initial thought. But when I looked at the socket it looked fine. If anything, the functioning RIGHT socket seemed to be corroded. But it works great. I just can't find a reason (myself) that the left turn signal isn't working. I brought it to my local chevy dealer to inspect it. Apparently, it may have something to do with a recall repair that was never done.
There are 2 filaments in the bulb. A bright one and a dull one. If the bulb is installed wrong the bright one might be lighting instead of the dull one. Also, if the ground to the socket is lost, the dull one lights when you provide power to the bright one.
