Hi Everyone,
Been looking through the CD maint and repair manual I bought for C5 Corvettes and noticed there is a frontal crash sensor shown mounted under the front metal impact bumper. When I was in that area working on other things last month, I noticed there was no sensor there. I went back to take a better look thinking I had overlooked it. There are a couple of holes where one might mount to, but it did not look like anything was ever there. So I am wondering if an '01 Vette ever had that one, and, relied only on the one in the console area. The full CD manual I have is a 1998 and was only $12. It has been pretty helpful in all the other minor things I have had to do. If anyone knows where I can pick up an 01 manual for less than the going $300, please advise....
Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, NO C5 ever had a sensor up front. Only under the radio.
C6s on the other hand, do have sensor(s) up front as well as in the doors.
Vetteman Jack,
Great lead on the manual, and, thanks for the reply Going to have to wait a little as I just bought two new front tires yesterday..... had no idea there would be that fast a response

Thanks for the quick reply on this. After looking at the threads in the frame, the paint has never had anything ran through them, and, no plug-in was found. Your insight is highly appreciated and validates what I saw in that area. BTW Lonestar, GREAT avatar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
