Default **Z06 Wheel Sizing Question**

Any help here is appreciated --

I have a 2000 C5 Coupe with stock wheels and tires. It has the Z-51 suspension and has been lowered 3/4" with the factory lowering bolts. Being as my rear tires are ready for replacement, I want to go with an aftermarket set of wheels and tires.

I have the opportunity to buy a set of new chrome Z06 wheels sized as follows:

front: 17"x9.5"; offset +54mm; hub 70.1mm; PCD 5x4.75
rear: 18"x10.5"; offset +58mm; hub 70.2mm; PCD 5x4.75

My question is, can I put these wheels on my 00 C5 coupe without any problems? Or will they not fit? Secondly, do I still need tire sensors?

Thanks for any help/advice.

They will fit fine. Unless you are getting a screaming deal on them though I would go with 18's all the way around. Looks better and you will get alittle better traction. Nate @ extreme has them for 1300 I think.

Unless your new rims come with sensors, you will have to sway your old ones.

They won't. Are the sensors necessary? Do you use them with both runflats and non-runflat tires?

Thanks!

Noggles, it is recommended you keep your current sensors and put them in your new setup. They are expensive if you buy a second set. It is even more important, IMO, that have sensors with non-runflat tires. You will have no fitment problems and you can easily go 18's all the way around. For the stock Z06 setup I recommend the F1 Supercar tires that come stock on a Z06. They are an excellant gripping tire that is QUIET! If you decide 18's all the way around I recommend BFG's 1st then Michelin Pilot Sports 2nd. We offer a trade-in program where we will install sensors on wheel/tire combo's, charge you, and then refund the difference upon receipt of working sensors. Let us know if we can help.

Looks like you were in good hands getting your XR-1 installed. Glad you like it :)
