Default P1518 code

Coming to work this am I chirped / bang 2nd 5 seconds later service tc/stability came on. Checking the forum it looks like I should check pcm/ tac connection ?whats the easiest way to access ? Pull the tire and inner fender or take off the fender? Or should I start by checking ground wires.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have had similar issues. The way I have dealt with it is to 1] check all the grounds. there is a post by Bill Curlee in the stickties. 2] I have accessed the TAC by removing the tire and the bottom portion of the inside tire well. I am currently in process of replacing the TAC.

It is constantly recommended to blow our the connections with compressed air.

Good luck. What year?

I have a 97 and a 98 pace car. Love them both. The TAC may eventually need to be replaced. I have ordered mine from vettenuts and will install when it arrives. The rumor is that the 97 and 98 TAC are not made well. They changed them in 99 and so the newer ones solve problems. I was able to do as you are doing, but eventually it gave up the ghost on the 97. Good luck and the forum is the greatest.

I agree if it is the TAC, replace it with a 99-04.

I'm going to check grounds and the plug first, but I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again
