MPH activation switch
Is there any switches out there that can turn on or off base upon the MPH? I'm looking for one of these to use with my nitrous second stage.

I don't think so. Just buy a second window switch for stage two :D
Hmmm...I will have to dig around the service manuals tonight and see if there is any wire we can tap into. :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

What gear would you want to be spraying in? You have to be careful with a MPH activate control because if your desired MPH of activation in an certain gear is below 2500 RPM then you're asking for big big trouble in your motor.

You have to be careful with a MPH activate control because if your desired MPH of activation in an certain gear is below 2500 RPM then you're asking for big big trouble in your motor. The MPH switch will sit in series, after all the other switches (RPM, TPS and FPSS). So unless all other switches are on, it will not get activated.

Very cool idea Tuan. I would be interested in such a switch :yesnod:
There was a recent post with pics showing how someone did this...I believe it was in the FI section. He siliconed the switch to the shifter boot.
What about, if you wanted to spray in 3rd at 60MPH you wired up an activation switch in your shifter gate so that when you put the car in 3rd it activates the window switch at the RPM responsible for 60MPH :)

Hell, even if you only have one stage, it would be great too. Forget the freaking expensive progressive controller. Just have your 100 or 150shot go off at ~60mph and you're set.:D

Yeah...But as soon as you shift out of 3rd, the second stage will get cut off.

True ;) ....but, you could have switches setup for each gear...that would be a complex PITA to deal with :jester
