Default Tyre Sensors

I have fitted a new tyre sensor to the right rear tyre on 2003 C5 corvette as the old one was faulty
I have followed the procedure to reset sensors
left front wheel worked fine had a lot of trouble getting right front to work
but finally it worked right rear was good
Could not get left rear to work before time ran out.
When i tried procedure again i can not get left front to work
Could this mean those 2 sensors are faulty to.

Could be that the sensors are getting weak and won't respond. But before you swap them out, try reprogramming them again only this time place the magnet on the inside of the barrel over where the sensor is installed and see if they will program then. I've had difficulty getting sensors to sync before and have had luck using that procedure.

Replace the other 3... program them before you install them to make sure they are working correctly... they can install them without taking the tires off of the rims...just break the bead push the tire down... replace the sensor and air back up...

Copied from a 8vette7 post

You should be able to get the actual TPMS for about $40 each shipped (check amazon for schrader 20117). You should be able to find a local tire store to dismount, break down, install TPMS and remount for about $10 per wheel. You need a magnet ( less than $10 at Home Depot) and use the steps in the previous post to program the TPMS yourself. In fact you can program them BEFORE you have them installed to know they are working. Just mark each TPMS as to which wheel it will go into and tell the tire shop to install according to your marking.
