HVAC passenger actuator question...
History: 1998 Corvette and about 6 months ago, I was getting a/c from drivers side and hot air from passenger side vents. I followed the re-set procedure for the actuator and that seemed to fix it.
The climate control display slowly got dimmer until it could no longer be seen. I took the console apart, pulled the control and re-soldered the resistors. After re-assembling, the display was bright again, the drivers side was ice cold, but the passenger side was now hot. I tried the re-set procedure 3-4 times, disconnected the battery for 15 minutes, checked and added a little freon and the car is still blowing hot from the passenger side vent. I pulled the codes, after clearing them once and got B0365, B0367, and B0446 which all point to a bad passenger actuator - or something in the circuit.
Here's my dilemma: Is the issue related to re-soldering the resistors in the control module, or is it in fact a bad actuator. If it's the module, it's a lot easier to pull that and re-solder vs. pulling the dash to change the actuator. If it's module related, it would be great to know which resistor might be the culprit (I have the circuit board with resistors in a line, and 3 others together). If not the module, does anyone have the actuator upgrade part number?
Thanks in advance...this is making me crazy!
