book time on cam swap
Went to local shop to check on price for mods I wanted done on C-5, 1998 LS1. Was told book time on cam swap alone was 22 hours. Not including head work or installing headers. It's been a long time since I have done any major engine work but that seems like a lot of time to me. Am I out of touch or is that a little extreme?

This guy doesn't want to do it. At 85.00 an hour, That's just cam swap time, no parts, he specifically said it didn't include time on valve springs or anything else. That's $1870.00 in labor alone on just cam swap.
