My best time was another 14.1@102 but my car hops real bad off the line. Could this be because I lowered the car? If so do I need to change the shocks or what? I really don't want to raise the car back up. To lower the rear I used longer bolts. Thanks, Kaley
and yes, I still have run flats
It's mainly the EMTs fault IMO. That's how they acted when I dumped the clutch on launch with them at stock ride height. Hopped so bad I got check engine lights for active handling, ABS and TC. An alignment check might be a good idea also. If you have too much rear toe-in it'll hop more.
You should try slipping the clutch on the launch....this will keep the rears from spinning (no axle hop) or bogging. Better for the car and quicker 60' times...rev to 2800+ RPM and slip the pedal out while gradually getting in the throttle more as she moves out. I was able to pull low 1.9 sec times with this method and there is no shock transfered to the tires.
You'll get it right with some practice :D
