I was getting code P0430 code on my 2003 Z06. I had it confirmed that the rear sensor was following the front sensor so I had the rear 02 sensors tuned out.
Today I got the check engine light with code P0430 HC. Anything else that would trip that code or did the person tuning out the code make a mistake?
I had ensured no stored codes after the sensors were tuned out.
P0430 is a Catalytic convertor error. Tuning out the rear O2 sensors won't effect this code. Have your tuner tune out P0420 and P0430.....or replace your catalytic convertors
I'll have to check what they did specifically. I told them what my issue was so they knew what I was looking to do. What is odd is that I drove the car for 1,000 miles before the code popped up. I've since reset it and driven about 150 more miles and nothing yet.
