1997 C5 no start no IPC or DIC functions
Hello, im new to the forum, first of all i would like to thank everyone for all the great info i have found so far on the sight. I have a 97 C5 with a no start issue along with other codes i think are related to the no start. B1527 P1626 P1571 U1064. I have a Tech 2 scanner/programmer, live data telling me IGN 1 off at the BCM, along with theft deterent inactive. I used my VOM and sure enought NO POWER at the Pink wire on the BCM with the ignition turned on. Both ground wires are good. And the ORN wire has 12v. Does anyone have a wiring schamatic of the BCM?

Since your car is now 19 yrs old, a very well know issue with our cars is an ignition switch carbon issue. This, of course, might or might not be your issue, but I highly suggest you read through the following link and consider doing it. Only takes a small amount of time and is almost free to do. I cleaned mine a couple of years ago and have been trouble free since. The fact that you cannot get to the DIC seems to indicate to me that the key/ignition switch isn't working at all. Also, for funs and giggles, check your battery voltage (just in case). GL and keep us posted.

Yeah ive got the ignition out but still connected, along with the PCM and BCM and fuse boxes, all hanging loose, trying to find the short. Ive checked the voltage with a load, on the ign switch wires in the on position and start position, all checks out good. Number 4 dic switch is the only one shorting to ground and the gauges dont work. I think i found the problem the pink feed wire to the BCM is dead. im getting power to the PCM and all modules, lights, etc. just not to the pink IGN 1 wire on the BCM. Im getting 12v to the orange wire only. The wiring diagram someone send me doesnt show the orn or pink wire on the iGN switch, must be the wrong diagram for my 1997 C5. If anyone can send me a diagram of all the wires on the BCM and IGN switch for my car i would appreciate it. Thanks for everyones help!

Regarding wiring to 97 model
Here is a document of all the wiring on the 1998 modell I have found online
My guess is that the 1997 and the 1998 is very similar regarding wiring .
