I have a FAST 102 im about to install on my 99 FRC and I have read that sometimes you have to grid the water pump. If i am using a ls2 90mm tb instead of a 102 tb will I still need to grind the pump? I have also read that you need to drop the cradle or install shorter motor mounts which I bought the hinson mounts but I have seen where some people get it to fit. Is this kinda a case by case thing because I dont really want to deal with putting motor mounts on with my headers lol.

Don't know about the water pump/throttle body issue.
As far as the clearance on FAST 102 intake, I think it varys from car to car. If you have a clearance issue it will definetely be at rear of the intake rubbing on the cowl area of engine compartment. On my 2000 FRC I did have the clearance issue, but mine may be an exception as I have the LS7 motor in my car. Hope this helps .

I agree it's likely a case-by-case thing (tolerance stacking, etc), but like most things, there is more than one way to skin a cat as far as the rear clearance issue is concerned. One is the shorter polyurethane mounts (which are VERY susceptible to header heat and MUST be protected and have higher NVH issues), or use cradle shims, like those offered by LPE and made specifically for that purpose.
I chose a third route and that was to modify the OE motor mount brackets themselves by .390 and keep the OE motor mounts.
WP clearance is also hit or miss I think. I had no worries with mine but I'm running an Edelbrock high flow pump, so.......
