I'm planning on installing a C6 Z06 shifther in my C5 any thoughts or suggestion
It's a plug and play... remove the old shifter and box... put the C6 one in it's place...
But, make sure your C6 shifter is really clean and lubed... that the bushing that keeps crap out of the box is not cracked or split...
Make sure your neutral pin is in and when you tighten the clamp on the shift rod get it tight but DON'T strip it out or break it off...just be careful and take your time...
You should take it for a spin before putting everything back together... you may have to make some adjustments...

I did the mod a couple of weeks ago. I used the TPS 427x C6 Z06 shifter with one of the shifter grips they offer -- I like the looks and the feel of the shifter ****, but I couldn't really tell any difference at all in the actual shifting. I might try the MGW shifter next.

HIGHLY recommend using torque wrench to spec of 22 lbft. Do NOT overtorque, it's easy to do.
AAMOF, all three T-40 Torx bolts are 22 lbft.
