What does this mean?
I was driving yesterday in Connecticut- top down, music blaring, air conditioning at full blast and then a red light. So I go to slow down and the pedal feels real mushy and takes longer than normal to stop. Is this pads?, pads and rotors?, problem elsewhere?, normal for blasting tunes and air????? I was thinking Long Tubes- but now I am thinking big brake package. I will never road race this car BUT I am smart enough to know that I would rather have more brakes than more horsepower. Thanks for your replies.

If it was that bad, it sounds like you may have had air in your brake lines. Either that, or your brake pads were extremely hot for some reason, causing them to fade.
