I recentley replaced the trans fluid and was going to purchase the Amsoil torque drive fluid, Amsoil now recommends the Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid as the first choice for MM6. Severe Gear for the differential.
Also no need to buy a new shift boot, I was able to utilize my c5 shift boot, it's a stretch but it will work.
So as far as performance not a noticable improvement, but looks and feel in the palm gets 2👍👍
What's your issue with the boot? Mine was too narrow for the C6 ****, so I removed it from the console, trimmed the top just a smidge so that the bottom of the **** fit through, then I turned it inside out, stuck the bottom of the **** through, and wrapped an O-ring around the "wrong side" of the boot where the groove in the **** is. Then I screwed the **** into the handle and rotated the boot to the correct orientation and snapped it back into the console.
I just bought a used 2005-2013 C6 Z06 Corvette OEM Shifter off Ebay for $91 ( I believe it's the same as base C6 shifter) and a Twisted Sifterz C6 Corvette Carbon Graphite Qualifier w/ Black 6 Speed Pattern Shift **** for $63. I like the angle and 1" or so shorter shift off this C6 shifter. New shifter and ebrake boot next on the list. Removed a few stitches off the C5 boot to make it work.
