I'm in the process of swapping out the LS6 in my '03 C5Z for an LS3 (from a '15 Camaro). I have a couple questions for you guys who have been through this.
The LS6 fuel rail has a regulator in it, the LS3 rail does not. What are you guys doing about that? I was planning to just run the LS3 rail and stock injectors.
Pilot bearing - any differences between LS3 and LS6? I want to make sure I use the correct one. Will also be replacing the clutch and flywheel.
Injector tuning - does anyone have the factory LS3 injector table settings translated to the gen 3 pcm tables (I have HP tuners)
I did more research. The LS3 rail is fine to use. For pilot bearing there should be a step in the LS3 crank that will accept a LS1 pilot bearing. As for injectors I'm going to use LS1 style that I already have (48 lb FIC) in the LS3 rail and just use spacers and lower o-rings.
