For my opinion of Cole...see Buckmaster above....if your PL is a current....its locked....for proof check the LS1edit boards...there are those why know because they have tried to edit it. To be locked out of your own property is not acceptable for me.
By the way, I was just kidding when I said what I said. I meant it sarcastically. I hope you didn't think that I meant it to flame you. I have never done that and will never do that.
I still don't think our dealer screwed up the re-flash. Everyone can say what they want to, but an experienced C5 tech at the dealer that I know personally flashed the PCM like he has done a million times and something went terribly wrong. I have read that I am not the only one this has happened to after the PL was uploaded and an attempt to re-flash was done. There was a thread back a few months ago where a forum member had to do the same thing we did and the car could not be started and the PCM had to be replaced as well as the other moduels.
Buckmaster, again, I didn't flame you, I was just being sarcastic as your comments were pretty harsh and I was just saying to tell us how you really feel as a joke. I didn't mean it in the way you took it. I am sorry because it seems as if you did take it the wrong way.
Well, who is a good tuner in the Tampa, FL area...I have a stock (stinger/blackwing only) A4 coupe LS1 (02)...looking for crispy shifts and better overall state of tune
I have just the man Bio.....drop me a line & I will give you his contact info. After months of working with him I am finally confidant enough to refer him to fellow misfits!
Well, unlike the rest of you I must be the lucky one. I got my original powerloader (1.5 years ago) in 3 weeks. Then I recently put the 3.42s and SY3500 in the car and got the reprogram back in 4 or so months. There were programming problems with it and I was screwed as my car was undriveable. I crossed my fingers and gave him a call and he got back to me in 5 minutes and continued to work on my powerloader ASAP, called me several times at work and sent it overnight when the programming was finished in a day. I was extremely happy with his service and more importantly with the product which , to me, is the bottom line.
Everything about your post looks good - EXCEPT - the fact that he had the PL for FOUR (4) months until you got it returned with the appropriate re-programming.
EEK!!
I'm sure you weren't very pleased during that time, right?

Maybe I read it wrong but I think it says he waited 4 months and then the programming was wrong.
I'm not an incredibly patient man so I will not be doing business with Steve Cole.
SpeedWorks performed LS1-Edit and shifts are now right-on. Car SOTP feels better as does general drive-ability. The Powerloader reprogram just did not seem up to original Powerloader throttle response. Now SpeedWorks has my programming on file and i can tweak as needed on several day notice.
