Great guys I will send this info to her .... bit of side info she has the LS4 in a front wheel drive Pontiac it ran for about 240K before giving up and needing a rebuild they said they rebuilt it with LS2 Parts and charged her like 7K well 3K miles into it she says it is down on power and using 1 quart of oil for every 650 miles smoking all the time. said they had to put a new "thinner" rad in so think they may have just put a LS2 in there that was used and beat down or some combo of LS2 and LS4 parts that are used ... he says motor is breaking in and could use more oil for up to a year feeding her some BS and just need someone to figure out what is going on. I suggested a Leakdown test / compression test and getting numbers from block / heads to see what is in there. She said she was charged for new pistons / machine work to block / rebult heads ... Heck i bet with just 2K miles you could see piston walls still "machined" with a bore scope ... not sure she just needs to get someone to look who knows LS and is honest
