Default AC help please

ive read about every thread i can find on AC problems but havent found anything related to mine. my AC doesnt get as cold as it should. if i have my windows cracked some it will get colder. almost like the air coming out of the vents pressureizes the cabin and causes a blend door to open up or something. both the passenger side and drivers side are affected the same with this issue. i tried pinching off the heater core hose to see if the AC would get colder but that had no affect at all on it. I checked the AC charge and it is fine. Anyone have any suggestions? this is on a 2002 model with dual climate control.

My 99 also has the dual controls. Mine would work fine for a few days and then blow warm. Had the freon checked as well as all components. Everything seemed fine. One day I took a spin and the ac was working ok. Stopped for errands and fired it up for the run home. Ac was warm...I noticed the temp display said it was 58 degrees outside...I knew it was 85 degrees. Your controls will only go to a low of 60 degrees. I replaced the outside ambient temp sensor (about $10) and haven't had a problem since. I can't say the ac system is tied to that display sensor but my system has been fine since replacement. I live in AZ and use the ac all the time.

The AC does work in conjunction with the outside temp sensor !!!!!

The climate control AC system needs to have the correct outside temp to work properly. Have you used the dic and checked to see if you have any actuator codes?

the outside temp is always correct and it blows plenty of air. all the settings seem to work ok other than it isnt cold as it should be.

well its def a vacuum issue. i hooked the line from the intake directly to the line going through the firewall and i now have cold AC. what are all the other vacuum lines for that are ties into the vacuum tree down in the fender wheel? im debating on getting a 12v vacuum pump and just using it because without using the vacuum canister the AC constantly changes because of loosing vacuum as i speed up.
