Battery replacement time

BTW, our local Sears Auto shop shut down recently. The Sears store itself though is still in business. Funny actually, as the Auto shop always seemed busier than the store!
Sears now lists a Diehard Gold AGM in size 78. Anyone tried one?
I'm soured now, switching teams. Interstate battery in my lawn tractor has been amazing (4-5 years old, store it hooked up every winter, and every spring starts immediately; no charging, tender, nada).

Edit:
Just did a quick search and right now they $143.36 with your prime member ship free 2 day shipping

Note that the Diehard Gold AGM battery is the Deka Intimidator.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Even though the specs said is was a 1/4 inch wider than the Red Top it matched up perfectly...here's the fit if anybody wants to see:
Not sure about best aftermarket battery, but here is some info on the factory batteries installed in our cars:
My car is 10 months old, 12K miles.
Yesterday morning, it was dead as a doornail.
Couldn't even open the doors.
No warning whatsoever.
It was at the dealership last week for the 1.5 hr download of their 'Multipoint' inspection...which revealed nothing about the forthcoming
battery failure.
Dealer tells me this is now 'normal', that they 'try' to get 1-1/2 years out of them.
Glad this didn't happen over the weekend, when we were out in remote areas of Arizona on an old Route 66 adventure.
So, if what they are telling me is true, how do you plan for road trips...where you might come out from lunch in an area with no cell service only to find your car is dead and needs to be towed.
OnStar, of course, but if you voluntarily replace the battery every 12 months, there is no warranty on it.
A puzzlement!
