I have a 99 frc that "is tubbed in the rear". But I am actually unsure and wanted to ask.
I have 295s in the rear but I cant tell that the rear was tubbed at all. I do know you can buy a fender well guard that bolts in. It looks like I can run another 2-3 inches inside the well wheel. Is that stock? Can I do a 12" wide wheel on rear with a stock rear wheel well?
I've posted a few pics of my '00 'Vert running 19X12's on the rear. Looking down from the top and measuring, the wheel/tire combo extends ~1 1/4" beyond the fender...what I consider barely acceptable.
Additionally, because these were C6 wheels on my C5, w/o TPMS, I had the sensors installed yesterday to discover that there is a slight rubbing on the inside well.
There is a bead on the tire just outside the radius of the wheel that is rubbing...I am running 325's Eagle F1's.
You may have tubed wheelwells and if you do I believe you can run a 12" wheel that with the correct offset will fit inside the fender opening. Lingenfelter was the main dealer offering the mini tub wheelwell kits although I believe some did their own modifications.
