Intermittently, my headlights will not raise. The lights come on, and when
you set the switch to off you can hear the motors click as if they WERE
up, but the doors don't move. I have ruled out the switch mainly because
the lights come on. It doesn't happen all the time, which is why I am annoyed, but any advice would be nice.
Sounds like a bad headlight door actuator module! Disconnect the C1 connector at the module then hook an ohmmeter from terminal D to a good ground. It should read 0-2 ohms. If not you have an open circuit in the wiring and the module MAY be ok. If it DOES read 0-2 ohms and since both headlight doors are not working, the module is likely bad.
This module is located just below the right side headlight assembly.
I had this problem about a month ago where the headlights would pop up then not come down then they would not pop up but the headlights would be on still..... so on and so on all intermitent....... It seemed if I would shut it off and take the key out for about 5 minutes then they would work properly for a couple more times then go back to not working again...... I was told to disconnect the battery and let it set for about 25 minutes and then try again.... It has been working great ever since. I do not know what this did but it worked!!
