Default Help with next performance mod

I have a 02 base stock LS1 6 speed, only mod I have done was a Corsa xtreme axel back exhaust. I don't want a ton of power wanna keep it N/A i want at least 100 more HP, I have options of what I want to do, but need your advice.

A LS performance shop recommended cam and heads, they said would give me 100-150 more HP for around 4 grand should I just do that?

These are what I am pondering on

#1 cold air intake a Vararam + tune
#2 camshaft
#3 kooks headers + crossover pipes

I don't race I just want more power in my vette just for my enjoyment. Please help thanks Pup

Vararam
Kooks with X-pipe
4.10 gears.
Tune

It'll act like a brand new car...

Have fun with your project!

CNC ported heads from Z06

373 gears - easier to live with on the street

Z06 Titanium mufflers if drone noise is an issue

Z06 intake manifold (inexpensive ebay or forum )

Upgrade oil pump

upgraded clutch - stock one will not hold the power

American Racing headers w/ hi flow cats (50k after mods on my engine...working just fine)

If it were me I would start with the basics which would include a Vararam, LT headers, x-pipe, tune. I would also strongly consider a set of gears because they will make a very nice SOTP acceleration difference which will make the car a lot more fun. I would recommend 3.90's or 4.10's. If you decide you want more power after that I would toss a cam in there. You could also consider picking up some used LS6 heads. Don't forget the potential need for a clutch. Also, the car may be a bit obnoxious with LT's and Corsa xtremes, you may be okay with that but just so you are aware.

The only way to gain 100+ hp is with head/cam/headers/tune. Like others have said, the Corsa exhaust with headers will be very loud. You can add an x-pipe down stream to help the noise (drone) containment.

you did not mention how much driving you do or how near stock drivability you want.
So I am assuming daily driver-level
A good clutch ex. Mantic ER2
heads-AFR (cut to 62cc chambers)
Z06 manifold or FAST 92
cam-226, 230 113+2, 590+ lift
ARH, KOOK or LG headers
New front pulley
oil pump
pushrods
head bolts
cometic gaskets 0.040 thick
Tune

should make 140+hp over stock and get 27mpg

if you still have money to spend 3.90 gear and 1/2 shaft
