Default wheel sensor nut question

How tight should the little 7/16" nut threaded on the wheel sensor (to attach it on the wheel) suppose to be?

When I had my wheels done, they got it as tight as possible.

They did not have a socket to fit and had to use an adjustable wrench. It did not break. :smash:

Thanks! I've been loosing 1 PSI per wheel every 3-4 weeks after my switch to chrome Y2Ks. Can't find a leak, even in a tub-o-water, so I've been suspecting the sensor nut must not be tight enough.

Of course, eveyone tells me 1 PSI a month is "normal", but I haven't had to add air when I had my stock rims for 5 years. And that's true for the stock 16 inchers my the Z28, too. So I just can't accept that very slow leak as "normal"... Thanks again.

I think the old style are 111 inch/lbs but you better be sure. I will check my manuals later. The old style was used on 97-2000 and are larger than the ones used now. Be sure you use NEW rubber seals everytime you take off the senor from the wheel. They can leave you stuck somewhere.  :smash:   :seeya
