Default Header Leak Remflex RF 2008 Gasket ?

Hey guys. I have a 2001 z06 and installed xs power headers two years ago with no issues but i noticed this week that there is a small leak from the gaskets on each side. I did some research and apparently remflex gaskets are known to fix this issue due to them being able to get squeezed a bit to ensure a tight fit (part number rf2008). Everyone who has used it however was on a c6 and their part number is only said to fit 97-00 c5 base which I know have the rounder holes(several people have also used the base LS1 headers on their c5z and had a good fitment.)
Wanted to see if anyone has used these gaskets on their c5z and if they can recommend another set possibly?
Thanks

From everything I've read, the factory GM LS1 gasket is the way to go. $12 each on Amazon. Make sure you unbolt the collector before you tighten the top side. This will let your header seat flush against your head. If you trim some material from the first and last bolt hole you can just slide them in without having the header completely unbolted.

thanks for the quick reply buddy. I was planning on the oem ls1 gaskets as they are steel, but I believe the header flange might be slightly warped and thats why Im having the tiny gap? I have to give it a try and see

The stock gaskets are metal but they do have a ridge around the port to help with sealing. GL

I had to use Remflex header gaskets on my XS Power headers. They are thicker but compress down, OEM's didn't help with the leaks. It took Remflex gaskets to fix the leaks.

Take a look at these on Amazon for $26.00 and they're reusable.

Remflex 2008 is the way to go. I have same headers and after head swap had a slight leak with OEM gaskets until it got hot. Used Remflex and was very happy.

I bought the 3rd gen. XS Power headers and had bought GM gaskets because some said they had leak issues with the supplied ones from XS Power. The GM gaskets are a triple layer gasket, and the ones that came with my 3rd gen. headers also came with triple layer so I used those. My flanges were perfect and I re-torqued mine after 200 miles, have no leaks 10,000 plus miles later !!!!
