charging system fault

charging system fault
Alternator went out so I replaced it with a rebuilt Delco. When first started it throws a " charging system fault " message. The fault message will stay on until I rev the engine up and hold it for a few seconds. It starts charging then at 14.2. I thought the internal regulator must be bad in the rebuilt so I warrantied it out with another, still does same thing.
Rechecked all wiring and battery, all seams OK. Any Thoughts?

yep, I had a big advantage, my car had the column lock issue the first day and it's how I found this site. I have many years as a Tech. but felt like a virgin when it came to my 99, this site has taught me so much, then again I am a knowledge addict. I have read every owners manual of every car I have owned.(more than once) Knowledge is King !!!!!!!I have used the info here more times than I can count. You want to know about the C 5 spend some time here, there are some real genius here, I think they have covered about everything !!!! Good Luck Sir !!!!

yep, I had a big advantage, my car had the column lock issue the first day and it's how I found this site.
