I have a question about my Vet. Before.... I never had to touch the accelerator to start the car and it would crank over maybe a half revolution and fire right up with a high Rev. then idle right down to a normal RPM. Now..... the engine cranks over several revolutions and I have to push slightly on the accelerator just to get it started. I'm sure it's some kind of an electronic switch but not sure which one. Has anyone ever run across something like this? Thanks for any help. Ike
How old is your battery? Make sure you're battery is holding a full charge. Will your car start without touching the accelerator pedal but with extended rotations?
Try pulling your codes and posting them. Be sure to include the Module and the H, HC, or C after the number. Here is the link on how to do it.
what year? is it a returnless car (one fuel line over engine cover or two?)
fuel pressure can bleed off, turn the key on count to 3 turn key off, turn key on count to 3
now try and start, does it start immediately?
It' a 1998 with two lines over cover. Even when I turn it off it still cranks over several revolutions before it kicks. It seams like some kind of a high idle electronic switch because it doesn't Rev. Up when first started like it used to. Warm or cold.

I took the Vet down to the parts store and had my battery tested. It only had 320 cold cranking amps and should have been 700. I bought a new battery and now it kicks right over. I'll check it out tomorrow morning but I believe that was the problem all along. Thanks everyone for their feed back.
