Default Driver side window won't go all the way

Just today I noticed the driver side window does not go all the way. The window leaves about 1/2' gap to the front part of the window seal and about 1/4" gap from the inside when door is closed. I know there is nothing wrong with the weather stripping because even with the door open the window doesn't go all the way up. The window goes up and down just fine with no issues so I find it hard to believe that it could be the regulator. Any ideas?

I HATE adjusting the window to get the gap just right. How long have you owned this car?

My guess is that the regulator was replaced by a PO and the window was not reinstalled correctly. You will need to remove the interior door panel and go inside to adjust the clamps that hold the bottom edge of the glass. (I think the bolts in those clamps call for 70 lbs of torque.)
So once the clamps are loosened you can slide the glass forward a bit to close the gap, before you reclamp them. Also, look at the passenger side and some other C5s to get a feel for how much overlap on each end.
If I can find it I will post up a pdf from the FSM.

I think you're right about the regulator being replaced and having to readjust the mounts. I just physically lifted the window upwards to see if it had some give and it felt pretty lose. Thanks for advice
