Default Leaking differential question

Took my car into the dealer today for leaking differential. Have noticed spots on the garage floor over the last couple of weeks. The dealer says it was overfilled from the factory. They traced the leak and it was coming from the overflow tube and when they pulled the plug lots of fluid came out. My question is why is this happening now???? I've had the car for a year and this just started.

I first noticed fluid after a dyno run in July....cleaned it up and problem gone....then the leak started again after our trip to Monterey in August.

Heat and high speed runs will make this happen. Mine first did it after a "spirited" run in west Texas. If they now have the right level of fluid, it will not recur. Change it to the correct level of Amsoil and you will be set! :smash: :)
