inspect the valve and rocker arm tips for excessive wear... do you have any pics??

I will have to takes pictures tomarrow and figure out how to post, but the rocker arms looked good but I'm not very knowlagable on this it's the first time I have got into a motor , what do I need to do to inspect the valves do I need to pull the springs

just look at the tips of the valves where the retainers are and flip the rockers over and inspect the the area that makes contact with the valve tip... another thing since you probably have stock rockers, make sure the bearing caps on both sides are intact, if those caps come apart you will have needle bearings floating around in the oil pan

okay I'll have to check them I didn't pay attention to them when I pulled but the tips looked good

Guys it wasn't any bent pushrods or bad springs being no sounds from motor could it jumped a tooth on time chain from the downshift and over rev?

okay guys I turned the car over and watched rockers and push rods they seemed to be doing what there supposed too I put everything back together and started the vette still sounds and feel flooded or miss fireing on a cylinder from a cold start you could hear a tiny ticking sound does this sound like valves?

It's been five days and three threads and you still haven't done a compression test or checked the pushrods???

push rods are good I'm going to do compression test asap haven't had time due to work and don't have tester

You go to the user control panel and pick the pictures and albums on the left bar. You can create an album and host the pictures right on this site. Really not that hard to do.
